Harpersfield Vineyard Blog

About Us

Since the inception of Harpersfield Vineyard in 1979 we have concentrated our wine cellar efforts exclusively on Vitis Vinifera grapes grown only on our estate. Harpersfield winery is 18 acres in size and consists of Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir and a small planting of Kerner.

There is much more to wine making than grapes and fermentation. Wine making is a tradition and an art, rich with complexities and colored with subtle nuances…

Harpersfield wines are: nourishing… theological… and they banish depression!
Wes Gerlosky, wine-maker

Our work in the vineyard is focused on the growing of high quality grapes that yield wines of great intensity, depth and concentration. Our wine making philosophy is decidedly non-interventionist; thereby allowing our unique style to be fully expressed in each of our wines.
